Jack and Jane entered the foyer. A small dog greeted them at the door. Everything seemed peaceful at first. They smelled something sweet. It seemed to be coming from upstairs. What could it be? As they walked up the stairs to find out, they started to hear strange noises. They continued to walk down the seemingly endless hall. The noises stopped. A cold draft ran up Jane's back. She screamed, "something's here!" Jack grabbed Jane's hand and they ran farther down the hall.
