just started reading a manga that is pretty good. "666 satan" it revolves around an outcast kid jio, and a treasure hunter Ruby, searching for O-Parts (ancient relics with awsome powers) so far i like it, it's similiar to naruto, but thats probably becasue the guy that does this manga is the brother of the guy that does naruto. any1 else read this 1?
"kill a thousand men and they will hate you, kill a million men and they will ache to face you. but kill a single man, string him up for all the world to see, and they will see monsters in the darknes, and jump at every shadow, kill a dozen men and they will scream in the night and they shall feel not hatred but fear" - Konrad Curze, the Nighthaunter, Primearch of the Night Lords Legion

Finally got around to Cowboy Bebop and Bleach, just to see what the manga/anime genre is like. Cowboy Bebop is kickin' from the style, story to the music. Just was really great and not anything like I had thought the genre was like. Too bad the next one the producers made, Samurai Champloo, wasn't as good.
More recently I started looking at Bleach. It's mostly a good/bad type thing, with some interesting things but a lot of annoying stuff as well. I like a lot of the characters, but there is A LOT of characters. Story is good, at least to Series 2 and after that, well a few cool things happen but not much. Most of it gets bogged down in season long arcs that don't add much, are really copies, or just go too slow in the main story. The humour is good too, the interactions of Rukia/Inicgio or however you spell it and his father, but I can really just surf Youtube to get the good clips.
The two most annoying things for me about the show would be the combat and Ich's development as a typically teen. First off, the main protagonist is 15 at the start of the series, his two non-fighting friends are obessed about women and he has aboslutly no interest in girls, to the point of freaking about anything sexual. It's unique but rather strange because I have never met a teenage in high school like this at all.
Anyways, onto the more annoying part, the combat. And when I talk about combat, it's mostly the big fights. First off, the final fight of Series 2 and Series 4 is bascially the same. Kinda sad. The more annoying thing is how characters react, killing any supsence in the fight at all, and thus killing an villian believeability. 1. Hero and baddie start to fight 2. Baddie comments (to himself) how good the hero is and is shocked 3. Baddie takes a hit and gets ready to go down 4. Baddie suddenly smirks and goes "Is that all you have, I expected more, I wasn't even surprised (even though two minutes ago they were)" 5. With that, the Baddie gets better, takes a level in badass and proceeds to beat up the hero 6. Hero finally gets his better power and proceeds the entire process again until he is beaten, another enemy beats up the first baddie or he actually wins.
The villian Grimmjow was the worst offender of this. The main hero has been beaten by him at least twice and when they go for a seemingly final showdown. The worst part of that battle is when the hero takes a level in badass, grabs his sword with his bare hand and stops mid-air and tells him he can't afford to take any more damage, at the request of the girl he's saving. He proceeds to slash the villian and then 30 secs later gets stabbed before finally defeating the baddie two minutes later, thus killing off the scene of "sorry I can't get hurt anymore".
And that's without getting to what happens afterwards.
