All of these i highly recommend, they all are flawless:
The Kooks- Listen to their first CD Inside In/Inside Out and love it! The Shins- Listen to everything, they never dissappoint Iron and Wine - I fell in love with the Shepherds Dog, but im getting into his earlier stuff Elliot Smith- So full of emotion and a beautiful voice, his songs really build up The Bravery- Really fun to dance to and to just listen to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club- Has to be one of the baddest band names ever! =P. Plus they rock Muse- Amazing rocking music, can rock it out and also has slow melodic songs with great vocals
Listen to all of it! =)

I believe the only one I know on your list is Muse. Some of the best music I've found this year. I've been using Last.fm for music when I'm writing, currently using the keywords jam and acoustic in the search.

Two video game scores that I purchased.
Age of Conan-- Several difference cultural musics put together and with add vocals. Gives off a really dark Lord of the rings feel. Bonus with all the songs
Alone in the dark-- Bulgarian choir is quite amazing. The music brings a dark intense mood.

But do you watch Dr Who as well?
Got to be one of the longest-running series, ever, as I believe it started in the early '60s

Seen one ep on TV, two more on Youtube. A very interesting show it would appear.

Beast's Mr. Hurriance Still Alive from Mirror's Edge soundtrack Round and Round- Bodyrockers Happy Ending- Mika
And perhaps if I can manage to pull off some computer skills I can get the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time soundtrack from the game. Or buy the CD...used for 50...ripoff.
